Second Harvest was appointed by NOSEA to facilitate the development of 1300+ bus shelters and other street furniture items within 26 months in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Second Harvest was responsible for the full range of services required to successfully implement the project.
This included the conceptual and architectural design of the bus shelters, and then the structural and industrial design of the units using a range of materials. A customised modular design was developed to ensure flexibility and rapid installation on site.
Second Harvest’s expertise was also employed in the procurement of the units and in providing on-going operational and installation support.For this purpose a local office was established drawing on both internationaland local expertise for the duration of the project.
